Audrey came home from school one day a couple weeks ago and announced that she wanted to do karate. I have no idea how she got the idea other than that we recently saw Kung Fu Panda. I signed her up for Soo Bahk Do, a Korean martial art. She loves it! VIDEO:
A week ago Katie decided to go for a little walk around the neighborhood all by herself. I loaded the kids in the car and drove around looking for her but couldn't find her anywhere. She was missing all weekend but on Monday I got a call from Animal Control saying they had picked her up not far from our house and she was safe and sound. It was a very happy reunion!
This morning Katie tripped when she was coming up the steps into the house and ripped one of her toenails off. I couldn't get the bleeding to stop so I had to take her to the emergency vet to get stitches. You can tell by the look on her face how much she enjoyed that.
We've had some strong winds for the last several nights. They were about 50 mph with 70 mph gusts. I woke up one morning to find a section of our fence knocked over. The wind rearranged the patio furniture and grill, shoving everything up against the glass railing.
She was so proud to change her first diaper! I got him cleaned up first and she did the easy part - putting on the clean diaper. She actually did a really good job! She loves being a big sister.
Audrey and her little friend Kinzey went trick or treating in downtown Anacortes on Halloween afternoon. They had so much fun together!
I didn't make Jackson stay in his costume for trick or treating. As you can tell from the picture, he wasn't too fond of it.
Audrey passed out lots of candy to the trick or treaters who came to our house that night, but between taking care of the baby and trying to keep the dog from running out the front door I wasn't able to get any pictures of that.
We had a really fun day! Hopefully Joe will be home to enjoy it with us next year!
I promise I won't make you dress up as a caterpillar ever again, Jack!
